Fertilisers
Regular lawn feeds are essential for a healthy weed free lawn. The professional fertilisers that we use are generally not available to the public and are difficult to source even as a gardener or landscaper. Quite often a license is needed to use or apply the product.
About lawn fertilisation
Fertilising in early spring will help kick start your lawn as it enters its annual growth cycle, giving it the active ingredients that it needs to thrive. Another treatment in late spring/early summer will ensure that your lawn has a healthy, lush green swathe that is strong enough to compete with any invading weeds and increased foot traffic. In late summer, early autumn the days grow shorter and the temperature levels fall. Fertilising at this point will help prolong grass growth for as long as possible, ensuring your lawn is able to endure the cold winter ahead without losing its beauty. Many people think it is a waist of time applying fertilisers in late autumn/early winter because they assume it will have no affect. This is incorrect. Although the leafs do not grow during this time, the fertiliser is put to good use by your lawn, as it uses it to boost root growth, preparing it for next years cycle
